Abe Orkin
Hi, I'm Abe. I'm in my final year of a Geospatial Engineering degree at RMIT, where I spend most of my time on maths, mapping, and figuring out how to get useful answers out of messy data. That problem-solving habit is what I bring into every tutoring session. I work with primary school students who are still building their foundations in reading and number work, Year 7 to 10 students who want to feel solid in maths, and music students all the way up to VCE Music. My approach is to make sure the basics click first, then layer the trickier stuff on top so it actually sticks. Outside of tutoring I play a lot of soccer, and I'm the euphonium player in a Melbourne brass band. Both have taught me that getting good at something takes consistent practice and a bit of patience, which is the same attitude I try to pass on to my students.
