Tutoring Victoria Pty Ltd (ABN 49 674 011 084) runs this website and our tutoring service. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Details you give us in our forms: your name, email, phone number, the student's first name and year level, subjects, preferred suburb and tutor, and anything you write in a message.
Booking and payment details, which you enter in Halaxy, our booking and payments provider. We don't see or store your full card number.
Information about how you use this website, collected with cookies (see below).

How we use it

To reply to enquiries, arrange and run tutoring sessions, and contact you about your bookings.
To contact you when a spot opens, if you join our waitlist.
To email you a mock exam you requested and, only if you ticked the box, occasional study tips and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To understand which pages and ads bring families to us, so we can improve the site.

We don't sell personal information.

Who we share it with

Your tutor, so they can run your sessions.
Halaxy, for bookings and payments.
Resend, which delivers the emails our website forms send to us.
Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) and Meta (the Meta Pixel), which measure how the site and our ads perform.

Some of these providers may store information outside Australia.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. They set cookies to count visits and to tell us whether our ads lead to enquiries. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

Children's information

We ask parents and guardians for the details of students under 18. We only collect what we need to arrange tutoring, and every tutor holds a current Working With Children Check.

Keeping it safe, and for how long

We keep personal information only as long as we need it to provide tutoring and meet our legal obligations, and we regularly remove details of families who no longer have sessions with us.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Email alex@tutoringvictoria.com.au or call 0459 683 515. If you're not happy with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
